WINTER SKINCARE GUIDE

WINTER SKINCARE GUIDE

Just because the summer sun has gone, taking care of your skin is as important in the winter as it is in the summer.

Your skin can take a bit of a battering from the cold wind, icy air and damp conditions we suffer with here in the UK during the colder months. I've recently revamped my skincare routine for the winter and I'm loving results.

Here are the top products you need to keep your skin in shape this winter.

1.  A good cleanser. It's good to start small and build your way up with skincare, so start with a super gentle but high performing cleanser on your skin year round. I've loved the Calm Cleanser for years, it melts away makeup in seconds and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean without any oily residue.

2. Despite being wet and miserable outside, the winter weather always leaves your skin feeling battered and dried out. To combat dry and lifeless skin a serum is a must! Not only will a serum give your skin the extra nourishment it needs to survive the winter, it also helps the rest of your skincare work a treat too.  I recently tried a sample of this serum which is really bougie and incredible at pretty much everything; hydrating, plumping, as well as fighting off those pesky signs of ageing.

For a more modest budget, like mine, you'll love this serum too.

3. A fabulous moisturiser is the ultimate weapon against dull dry winter skin. You should invest in something with a little richer formula for the winter. I've recently fallen back in love with the cult favourite Beauty Flash Balm, which works like a dream to hydrate, tighten and brighten the skin, and also doubles as a perfect primer too. And it's absolutely worth every. single. penny.

4. Listen up girls, and guys too. If you don't use an eye cream as part of your skincare routine, then you need to get-on-it. Eyes are the first thing to start showing wrinkles and crinkles, and you can't be dealing with that. An amazing eye cream is a must. If you want to splurge try this cracker of product, or if you're looking for something more affordable, I love this

5. Cold evenings are made for bubble baths and face masks, and this guide wouldn't be complete without one. I love this hydrating Origins sheet mask.

6. I'm not going to go into makeup just now, but it's good to remember that just because it's not summer, it's still important to wear sun protection. I love foundations with an SPF and I'm currently wearing a combination of this with SPF 15 and Double Wear with SPF 10

Winter this the best time to indulge and ensure you're doing your best to look after yourself. Self-care is so important and everyone deserves a little more 'me time'.

What's your ultimate winter skincare item?
