COCKTAILS AT PARKER'S TAVERN - CAMBRIDGE

COCKTAILS AT PARKER'S TAVERN - CAMBRIDGE BLOGGER

Parker's Tavern Restaurant and Bar, Cambridge, has been beautifully restored after a two-year renovation project, finally reopening its doors in August 2018. First opening in 1835, Parker's Tavern was a popular stopping point for travelers and traders passing through the city and with its luxurious decor and high-quality service, I'm sure it's going to be more popular than ever.

I had the privilege of being invited along with some other Cambridge bloggers to have an exclusive evening at the newly re-opened Parker's Tavern and University Arms Hotel in Cambridge. I'm going to share with you our who evening from cocktails in the bar, a private tour of their Luxury Suite Rooms and finally a three-course tasting dinner restaurant. Let's start with the bar...

The grand entrance to the Parker's Tavern Cambridge leads you into quintessentially British lounge bar, impeccably furnished with beautiful armchairs, soft sofas, and rich parquet flooring. The whole atmosphere oozes sophistication with a subtle feel of a Cambridge University college. The bar area is a beautiful space perfect for informal meetings, high-tea, date nights and drinks with the girls.

To the right of the main bar area is the sweetest room which has a library vibe, which I am most certainly eyeing up as a good remote working spot during the winter months.

Now for the drinks. The cocktail menu at Parker's Tavern is set to suit any occasion. All the cocktails are crafted and named after a part local history, of which you can read a snippet of the story behind these mixes while you choose your poison. My favorite being the Bloomsbury Boozer, complete with a raspberry foam topper, pictured below

BLOOMSBURY BOOZER
The Bloomsbury Set was a formidable group of writers, academics and intellectuals who met at Cambridge during their boozy student days.
The Botanist gin, elderflower cordial, lemon, raspberries, raspberry foam.

I also recommend the raspberry mojito! There's also a large range of gins, wine, and other drinks too,  Read the full menu here.

Disclaimer: Although I was invited to experience the bar and restaurant, all views are my own.
