HOW TO FIND AMAZING KEYWORDS ON PINTEREST PINTEREST TIPS

Pinterest is a great place to find new ideas and share your own.  It is also a great source of website traffic if you know how to use it correctly.

Pinterest is a search engine, that means it works more like Google or Yahoo search than a social media platform. Which means that you need to be thinking about SEO (search engine optimisation) to get your content seen and keywords are the key!
Using the right keywords on Pinterest is the secret to unlocking amazing traffic growth for your blog. Find the right keywords and use them correctly, and you'll be on your way, but where do you find them?

How to find keywords on Pinterest:

1. Search Bar

Start by typing some words or phrases related to your blog niche or post into the Pinterest search bar. The best to imagine what someone might type into Google, and expect to find your post.

For my post, I'm going to start typing... 'Pinterest Tips'

As you begin to type, Pinterest will show you a drop-down list of terms and phrases that people frequently search for.

You can see here that Pinterest is a suggestion I use the keywords '...for bloggers' or '...for business'

These are the keywords and phrases that are closely related to my post that people are already looking for. So these are the keywords I want to make sure to include in my descriptions too.

2. Coloured Boxes

You'll also notice that Pinterest shows you a bunch of coloured tiles beneath the search bars, these are part of Pinterest's guided search tool and helps you expand on your keyword ideas.

For my post about Pinterest tips, I could also use '...and tricks' or '...tutorials' to help my post get seen by a larger audience.
